"Sanity, Where Have You Gone? I Fall from Grace, Here in the Dark..."

Hello-Hello, fall lovers! Or should I say, Halloween lovers?
I decided to participate in the October weekly meme, Spooky Quilling, created by Savannah from The Book Prophet. If you are interested doing this meme or checking her awesome blog, you just have to click the links above.
There are new prompts each week. I planning to do all the memes by November 1st since this moth turned out to be very eventful for me.
I also tweaked the meme a bit and I planning to use song lyrics or titles for the blog post titles. Of course, I will also provide the YouTube links for those songs.
Prompt 1 for October 3rd was:
“For this prompt you have to write a spooky story about how the villain of a story – a story already in existence or of your own imagination – became the villain. This has to be 666 words (I know it’s hard but try and get it exact – you never know, it may bring you good luck).”
A villain is born
The night was dark and moonless. It was so cold that you were able to see your own breath leaving the body just like a soul. Steps. Steps on the frozen snow were screeching like someone was stepping on broken glass accepting his dark fate.

Melody Obsession of the Week, Brought to You by Me, Presents Photograph by Ed Sheeran

music, music madness, music notes, music symbols, sketch, drawing, The Book Portal, art, concept art

Hello-Hello! Today, I have another song for you. I am listening it for a while now.
Ed Sheeran is growing on me especially with this song - actually it started with the Shape of you (link to post) but moving on...
This song brings up past memories and love just like a good book that resonates with you does.
Apparently, fall is for memories. I often find myself thinking about good books I read and stayed with me. But, I also think about my past, people, events, and songs I listened during that particular year.
In my opinion, Photograph is a good song to contemplate about stories - from books or real life - that left a mark on you. Every story change you in a way. So that is why it is important to contemplate and learn from the past.
Every last minute is in the past now. :P
I hope you are going to enjoy this song as much as I do; even though, it is on the slow side.
Without further ado...

Photograph - Ed Sheeran

Listen it on repeat!
Happy Music Madness!

Melody Obsession of the Week, Brought to You by Me, Presents Fetish by Selena Gomez

music, madness, music madness, music notes, music doodles, doodles, music symbols, music art, The Book Portal

Hello-Hello, fellow readers! Fall is here. The weather is chilly and the leaves are changing colors, green for read, yellow or orange.
After my break from books and blogging, I started to debate what my new song pick is going to be for Music Madness - aka Melody Obsession of the Week. If you read my previous posts regarding this section of my blog, you probably know that I like to give a meaning and a reason to the song I choose. Usually. So, after days of debating on songs I encountered during my leave of absence, I decided on Fetish by Selena Gomez.
I am well aware of its innuendos and the sexy meaning behind the lyrics. However, one day when I was listening to the song next to my pile of book, it hit me. Its lyrics perfectly describe a reader's - or at least my - relationship with books.
No matter how long our reading slump or break from books is, we still find our way back to them, to reading. We crave the stories they contain within their covers. We want to go on adventures with the fellow characters, be the heroes, fight the villains or just be a reader. The smell of paper from a brand new book is the most sexy perfume we have ever desired. We love the art on the covers, dust jackets, and pages. And if the story of a book is THAT good, we obsessed over it. We devour its words over and over again through sleepless nights and even decades later. Just like a certain book friend of mine  who read a certain series at least 17 times. (Heck, even I got convinced to read that series again. Good job, my friend! Your passion for those books really inspired me. ^^)
So, you see, our relationship with books it is a bit sexual. We obsess. We crave. We want more. We want so much more from our beloved books that we even start writing our own stories. Books have a huge impact on their readers. They change us because we learn and gain knowledge from them. We, the readers, become imprinted by the books we read because their stories stay with us for the rest of our lives.

And finally, without further ado...

Selena Gomez - Fetish

Happy Music Madness!
And, let me know in the comments section if you have a similar "relationship" with your books. Also, what do you think about this week's song?

Melody Obsession of the Week Brought to You by Me Presents... Minions?

music madness, art, sketch, drawing, music notes, music symbols, symbols, The Book Portal

Hello-Hello! I am going to be direct with you. For weeks, I've been planning my next melody obsession post. I was planning this big inspirational post about humanity and humans and blah blah blah... Then it hit me. Or should I say... my ear drum? There is too much seriousness in the world. We know things are bad but better than they were a thousand years ago. We know we strive for equality, justice, and perfection. Although, we often forget the human nature. Humans are creatures of habit sooo change is not up our alley and I am citing the scientists from the world of psychology here. Sometimes is better to just enjoy the moment.
Forget the bad.
Eliminate those negative words and views of the world.
AND. JUST. SMILE.
With that comes the laughter.
Yeah!
Today I want to put a smile on your face to make you feel better even if it's just for a fraction of a second.
As you can see, I upgraded my post logo. I Photoshoped the original picture I created in Photoshop using the App Bamboo Paper. Now, it really looks like music madness.
Brain: Wait! Wait a minute! WAIT-A-Minute! Aren't people usually use Photoshop to Photoshop other pictures created in other apps?
Me (the other side of the brain):Yes, and?
Brain: Then... How? You... It doesn't make any sense.
Me: It doesn't always have to be that way. >--Clap-Clap--< Keep up, Brain! Keep up!
Brain: Now, you got me confused. Pretty picture thou!
Me: Thank you! You help me make it.
Brain: I know! >:] >B]
So, without further ado or any interruption from my highly evolved cerebral cortex from the animal kingdom...
Brain: I know what you did there...
I present to you:

MINIONS

Brain: ...And, it's not fair.
I dare you to sing along and try to take this tune out of your head after you listened to it!

Mwahahahahaha!
gif, mwahaha, kuzco, izma, cat, evil laugh

Happy listening!
Play it on repeat. ^_^
Brain: That's just pure evilness.
Me: I know. >]
Bye! For real, now! Bye!
Oh! And enjoy the music!

Melody Obsession of the Week Brought to You by Me Presents Katy Perry Rise

Hello-Hello! I am back with another song pick.

melody madness lots of music notes

Before I post the song, I want to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all the mothers. Today, May 14th, was mother's day in the USA.
Remember your mother, give her a call or a hug, and be thankful. Even if it's just for the fact that she carried you in her womb for nine months and brought you on this world.

And... In life... If you have any doubt, RISE like the song by Katy Perry says.

Melody Obsession of the Week Brought to You by Me Presents Jessie J Do It Like a Dude (EXPLICIT)

Music madness music notes and simbols by The Book Portal
Hello-Hello! It is the end of the week and it is time for my melody obsession. This song is mature-ish with a bunch of curse words... So listen on your own risk. :D
Jessie J has a strong voice and her song sends an even stronger (I am not even sure if it's grammatically correct and I do not care as long as you get what I am saying B] ) message.
Humanity Time, gender gap, original art posten on The Book PortalI dedicate this song to my oldest friend from Romania who introduced me to it a while ago. Thank you, Nico! Miss you and how we used to hang out every summer and other vacations. :3

And I am also making a dedication to all of the people who told me that I act to much as a guy or that I cannot do, be what I want, stay in a place, or wear something because I am a girl. Dear those past, present, and future people, this is my answer to you. FYI, science proved that the only barrier to female leaders is gender bias.
And the same thing can be said about you, guys. Do, wear, say, feel, and be what you want. Do not be afraid to be called "feminine". You are humans too. Plus, the world will be boring without diversity.
PEACE!
LOVE!
And LISTEN to JESSIE J on REPEAT!

Melody Obsession of the Week Brought to You by Me Presents Kaleido Star

music notes to describe song sound

Hello-Hello! This week I do not have a song pick. I rather have the entire soundtrack of an anime called Kaleido Star.
Yes, you read me right. I recommend going on YouTube and search Kaleido Star OST.
What can I say? I am really into instrumental music. It creates mood. Happy. Sad. Danger. Triumph. Failure. Rising. Challenge. Fear. Future. Comedy.

Kaleido Star anime season one main cast

I can proudly say that this is one of my all time favorite anime ever. And if you want to watch it, please watch it in Japanese with a subtitle. Everything is so much better and fun.
I will leave a few songs down below... (^_^)

Happy Listening!
I hope you are going to enjoy them as much as I do.
Alright, one song is not completely instrumental but it is in Japanese... So... Yeah!
Be Happy!
Let yourself to be inspired by music and stories.

You are scaring me with that Lord of the Rings reference, brain.

Melody Obsession of the Week Brought to You by Me Presents Ed Sheeran Shape of You

Hello-Hello! It is the end of the week and it is time for the melody obsession.
Of course you know what is my song pick because... post title.
BUT bear with me before pressing the play button because I have this whole explanation on how and why I chose this song.
bear with me with an acutal bear
Tap-tap-tap... An explanation... Ok. Well... I heard bits and pieces of this song on the radio and I was "Eh! It's alright." Ed Sheeran is a particular artist who, in my opinion, is more lyric focused and I usually like my songs with  more instrumental music. (I will rather listen to him live in a concert because he has a great voice --> YouTube - Ed Sheeran Bloodstream Live) So, I kind of ignored the song until... Until I heard the part "Oh, I! Oh, I! Oh, I!"
That was the moment! I went to YouTube. I found the song and pressed play a million times. And yes, I fell in love with the "Oh, I! Oh, I! Oh, I!" parts. I wished the song had more "Oh, I! Oh, I! Oh, I!" in it. Ha-Ha-Ha!
Without further ado...
